starter-toolkit thrown exception are not caught correctly by react frontend

When a request done to starter server throws an exception, the frontend does not catch the error message. The js frontend seeks for a statusText property which is never feed. 

So, error message aren't visible. 

 Use-case:

• make a new project
• export it to github with incorrect credentials

-> no user feedback!
